Our Kitchen

Lauren is our amazing chef, with over a decade of experience cooking in the early education industry. Even after all this time, Lauren still shows tremendous love and passion for providing each child with nutritious and delicious meals every day. The children love Lauren too, as she loves spending time with the children and familes every day. Lauren most loves broading their tastebuds with foods chidren would normally refuse to eat at home: stir fried oyster mushrooms, fresh bean shoots, chick peas, etc. With a little seasoning, and a lot of encouragement, our children enjoy tasting new foods every day. For those that are fussy, Lauren believes in blending a large portion of extra vegetables into every meal, just to ensure no child misses out on their daily requirements.

Our menu is based on extensive research and collaboration with our local paediatric dietician Melanie Bouras and Nutrition Australia. We also incorporate feedback from our families and children when looking at new meals to prepare. Our Menus are on a 4-week seasonal (Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring) rotation and provides an exciting introduction for children to experience different tastes and textures.

The children enjoy contributing to the cooking experiences on a regular basis. For example, growing and cooking their own kale chips or pumpkin soup, baking traditional damper, orange muffins, etc. They even made a special batch of cookies for our local firefighters!
